Key Responsibilities- Payroll Operations: Manage the payroll process from start to finish, including data entry, processing, and reconciliation.
- Compliance: Ensure that all payroll-related activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax, superannuation, and award obligations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of payroll staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to employees, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a similar-sized organization.
- Skills: Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and large payroll systems; knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation; excellent communication and leadership skills.
