About the Project and the Role


The Centre's Sustainable Industry Manufacturing for Long Term Ecosystems (SIMPLE) Hub has received $7 million of government and partner funding to ensure the delivery of circular economies in manufacturing, resource, civil infrastructure, heath and agrifood industries.


As a Research Fellow, you will:

  • Be provided opportunities to collaborate with over 15 multi-sector industries in addition to local government and education partners, national and international university partners
  • Carry out prototyping of products and analysis with project partner, Darling Downs Health Services
  • Join a multidisciplinary team, collaborate and develop sustainable processes which contribute to crosssector 'ecosystems' and support circular economies

About You
Understand the importance of collaboration and how that translates to valuable relationships relating to desired outcomes

Additionally, you will have:

  • Completion of a medical degree (MD or MBBS) from an Australian Medical Councilaccredited medical school
  • Demonstrated professional experience and/or research expertise in Biomedical sciences, clinical skills, biomedical engineering and/or materials science
  • Existing relationships with hospitals and other health settings
