About the role:


Victoria Police has an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term Portfolio Coordinator (Recruitment) to work as part of the Business Management Services team within the Digital Services and Security Department (DSSD).

DSSD helps to keep Victoria safe by providing reliable, secure and easy to use technology that enables our people to do their job and our community to access our services.

The Business Management Services branch sits within the Office of the Chief Digital Officer and provides critical support services to the department.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

This position will be required to support hiring managers with a range of recruitment-related tasks including but not limited to:

  • Drafting establishment and recruitment documents such as Establishment Request Forms, Job Advertisements, Application Forms and Interview Guides.
  • Supporting hiring managers in the completion of reference checks and drafting Selection or Nonselection Reports, as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records as to the status of the various recruitment activities underway.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience recruiting staff and/or supporting hiring managers in the recruitment of staff. (Experience of this in the IT sector or for IT roles is highly desirable)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Ability to work largely independently but as part of a team delivering complementary services.
  • Experience with Victorian Government establishment and recruitment processes and policy (desirable).

  • One (1) x fulltime, fixedterm position available until 31 October 202
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
