About The Role
***This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for a Human Resources Officer who has a passion for people, wants to make an impact, work across a diverse range of HR services and be part of an awesome and supportive team

As HR Officer, your key responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, including job descriptions, creating job ads, advertising, reviewing CVs, interviewing, reference checks, making offers etc
  • Manage the employee life cycle and cyclical events, including onboarding, induction, probation and performance management, learning and development, employee relations, employee engagement, life events and mobility through to offboarding
  • Manage our unique and tailored Graduate Program
  • Foster a learning culture, create a pipeline of learning content utilising our learning platform, deliver training, maintain our records as well as arrange training events and activities to meet learning needs
  • Provide support, guidance and technical advice to managers on a range of workplace relations & people management matters and practices with an outcome of early intervention and local resolution
  • Coordinate and get involved in workplace health and safety including compliance, preventative measures and assist with case management and return to work
  • Develop and review policies, procedures and documentation as needed
  • Actively and proactively involved in process simplification, continuous improvement of workflows and HRMS automation
  • Maintain HR data and departmental records and produce management reports as needed and HR administration
  • Liaise and coordinate with third party service providers
  • Work closely with the Head of Human Resources on a range of HR related projects, activities, activations and events
  • Work closely and collaboratively as a team and supervise a small team

About You

  • HR generalist experience coupled with tertiary qualification in Human Resources / Industrial Relations or related discipline
  • Knowledge of best practices, employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills with quality output and attention to detail
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage, prioritise multiple competing deadlines
  • Has a collaborative working style and able to supervise others, work individually and as part of a team
  • Able to build relationships and provide support, guidance and advice to managers on a range of HR/people management practices including workplace relations
  • Selfmotivated with a cando attitude, able to work in a fastpaced environment and can pivot and adapt
  • Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Experience with HR systems/databases and willingness to learn and optimise systems & platforms (ConnX a bonus but not essential)
