About the Role
The Delivery Lead is a senior Agile delivery expert in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. This role will coordinate the delivery of projects across multiple cross-functional teams in the University Services Value Stream. The focus is on achieving specific business objectives through efficient planning, activity coordination, and overcoming obstacles for squads prioritizing strategic work. The Delivery Lead acts as a delivery-focused servant leader, applying extensive knowledge of Lean and scaled Agile approaches to facilitate the delivery of business goals. They provide leadership, guidance, and direction to other delivery practitioners and collaborate with the Scrum Master Chapter Lead. The role involves contributing to the design and implementation of contemporary delivery practices, fostering continuous improvement, and working closely with the Value Stream Leads, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to align delivery plans with product and value stream roadmaps.

Key Duties:

• Drive business objectives through effective planning, coordination, and impediment removal for squads in an ITS value stream, focusing on Lean and scaled Agile approaches. Maintain contemporary delivery practice and provide tailored guidance for capability uplift.
• Promote a positive, innovative culture emphasizing psychological safety within the team.
• Lead the development and implementation of delivery plans, ensuring workforce planning and resourcing activities in collaboration with Chapter Leads, Product Owners, and the Value Stream Lead.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate key dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Assist in budget planning, management, and reporting of finances for investment streams related to delivery responsibility.
• Coordinate and facilitate key events, including quarterly review and planning sessions at the Value Stream level.
• Monitor and measure progress against delivery and service performance, introducing relevant metrics aligned with a business agility framework.
• Build close relationships with Senior Executives and key stakeholders.

About You
We welcome applications from individuals who possess the following attributes:

• Postgraduate qualifications or extensive large-scale IT delivery experience, or equivalent combination of both.
• Proven Agile experience with certifications or knowledge of business agility frameworks. This includes elevating Agile maturity, leading portfolio, program, and project management, and understanding business needs for large-scale initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in leading organisational change initiatives with co-benefits.
• Strong leadership skills to manage an innovative work portfolio, prioritize effectively, and deliver objectives within budgets, timescales, and quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, building buy-in and networks for successful delivery of collaborative projects with staff, students, and other stakeholders.
