Are you a PowerPoint guru?

Share your knowledge, skills and expertise with independent schools across NSW by joining the Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW).
We are seeking a full-time Digital Presentation Specialist until the end of 2024 to support our Executive team and our Education Consultants.

OUR PURPOSE
AISNSW is the peak body supporting and representing the independent school sector in NSW and a member organisation providing a range of services to Independent schools across NSW and ACT. We believe in the excellence and opportunities that come with choice, diversity and independence in education and aim to serve and champion Independent schools.

HOW WE WORK
We are member-focused – serving the diverse needs of schools.
We act with integrity – demonstrating respect and discretion.
We have expertise – working together to provide high-quality advocacy, guidance and services.
We are forward-looking – anticipating future needs in a fast-changing world.
We go above and beyond – passionate about our work and committed to excellence.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
A brand identity refresh at AISNSW means we need new and creative designs for our existing presentations and also to create some exciting new slide stacks.

This position is suitable for someone with a passion and skill for developing and applying digital content design and visual communication messaging to produce aesthetically appealing and engaging professional presentations using the Microsoft suite, especially PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will collaborate on projects for the whole organisation. The presentations of the Chief Executive and Associates and the AISNSW Education Consultants across all portfolios will be a priority. The role's primary objective is to support the visual presentations that showcase and deliver AISNSW's advocacy and support services for Independent schools in NSW.

The Digital Presentation Specialist will apply the AISNSW Brand Identity and Tone of Voice Guidelines with discipline and accuracy to ensure written and visual communications are cohesive, intelligent and meet the needs of each presenter's brief.
The role requires the Presentation Specialist to make recommendations and provide feedback to presenters regarding the principles of excellent presentation content design (as well as technical requirements) across the organisation.

To assist the busy Communication Team, there will sometimes be opportunities to contribute content to AISNSW Social Media by transferring great content design skills from slides to social media tiles and stories. Many of the assets produced in AISNSW presentations can be used as factual and informative content in social media, telling the story of the Independent schools of NSW.

WHAT EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS WILL YOU NEED?

  • Tertiary degree in graphic design, visual communications, and or multimedia communications.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
The Presentation Specialist will:

  • Create visually persuasive, and effective presentations for all AISNSW portfolios by translating complex concepts into digestible and memorable content that combines data, visualisation, and narrative in an appealing way.
  • Work with typography, hierarchy, contrast and grid alignments, adding animations, photographs, charts, graphs, and embedded video while strictly adhering to the AISNSW Brand Identity and Tone of Voice Guidelines and the AISNSW presentation deck templates.
  • Manage the presentation design process from start to finish. This includes taking briefs to craft clean, eye-catching and professional presentations across diverse content and deck sizes, with time to incorporate feedback to meet all deadlines.
  • Use project management and organisation skills with emphasis on details, accuracy, quality, and aesthetics.
  • Support the whole of organisation's objectives in day-to-day activities that build stakeholder understanding of and engagement with AISNSW decisions, services, projects, events and activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to actively contributing to a positive and professional work environment that fosters innovation, teamwork, high achievement, continuous improvement and job satisfaction.

WHAT SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WILL YOU HAVE?

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver clear and concise messages for effective presentations
  • Skills in creating user-centric content using contemporary techniques
  • Understanding of the methods of visual communication
  • Interest in and willingness to assist the busy Communications team with creating social media posts using design assets, and images from AISNSW events, presentations, and recruitment templates
  • Skills across the range of presentation tools, in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite and demonstrate an interest in researching and testing similar tools as the market develops new applications
  • Ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders to meet multiple deadlines amid competing priorities.

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Capacity to work within the office environment.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:

  • Structured induction processes.
  • Four weeks annual leave (additional leave for the office closure period between Christmas and New Year is determined by the Board each year).
  • AISNSW is a full salary packaging company.
  • Flexible work arrangements including a combination of working away from the office as well as dedicated time for collaboration in the office.
  • Internal and external professional learning opportunities, such as courses and conferences.
  • Collegiality with a team of highly experienced colleagues with a range expertise and professional qualifications to collaborate with and learn from.
  • Dedicated, staff wellbeing initiatives to promote connectedness and self-care.

Eager to join a dynamic team and work together to provide exceptional responsive service?
If so, please complete your application and include:

  • Covering letter, including highlighting specific examples of your recent experience developing and applying digital content design and visual communications to produce quality presentations
