The Position

Position Title:
Ward Clerk - Women's Health Outpatient Clinic

Classification:
HS1A-HS1

Salary per hour (exc. super): $ $29.58

Hours per fortnight:
Up to 80

Role Description


The position will provide clerical support in the managemnet of the outpatient clinics to facilitate patietn access to specialist care.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Provide customer service for in excess of 100 patients per day, Provide high quality reception and telephone response to all patients and internal/external services. This includes answering queries, screening, referring and escalating enquiries as required
  • Arranging and scheduling patient appointments with the ability to support a patient centred care approach consistent with the clinics processes and guidelines. Ensure all data relating to referral management is entered correctly and accurately in a timely manner following written guidelines
  • Maintain the patient administration system to ensure accuracy and integrity of patient data. Monitor and ensure data integrity including VINAH compliance

The Team


The Women's Health team at Bendigo Health is an outpatient facility that provides gynaecology and antenatal care for women of the Bendigo and Loddon Mallee region.

Registered midwives are a crucial element of our clinical team and are responsible for providing sensitive, evidence based, family centred care.

Women are offered a number of antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care options including caseload midwifery, midwifery led antenatal care and obstetric care.
