About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Payroll & Billing as the Senior Credit Associate you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the credit evaluation and risk assessment processes and resolving disputes. This role involves analysing the creditworthiness of clients, managing DSO performance, making credit decisions, ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable and working closely with various departments to optimize the credit and collections processes.

*This is a 12-month fixed term contract*

Your key responsibilities:

  • Credit Evaluation: Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing clients through financial analysis and credit reports. Determine and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms. Conduct regular reviews of client credit limits.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Ensure accurate and timely customer invoices in compliance with contractual terms and company policies. Ensure that billing and invoicing adhere to contractual agreements and pricing structures.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential credit risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of payments. Handle escalated credit issues and disputes with clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients & internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth credit and collections processes. Communicate credit decisions and policies to clients & internal stakeholders effectively. Resolve client queries and issues related to credit and payment terms in a timely manner.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyse reports on accounts receivable, credit risk, and aging of receivables. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credit, billing and collections performed by Shared services team.
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the sales, customer service, and finance teams to align credit policies with business objectives. Coordinate with the legal department on credit-related matters and disputes.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement improvements to the credit management process.
  • Audit: Assisting in internal/external audit process.

Your Background

  • You must be an Australian Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, problem solving difficult credit issues, liaising with lawyers, litigations re debt collection, process improvement and creation
  • Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud System
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in using financial analysis software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Customer focused, experienced with internal and external stakeholder management
  • Previous experience working as a Senior Credit Associate or Credit Controller
  • Experience working in a multinational organization before
  • Able to bring fresh ideas, solid experience and knowledge to the team
