One Ventures raised their first Venture Credit fund three years ago and are now going to market to raise its second. The fund has an excellent track record in deploying capital to high growth companies in the technology and healthcare sectors. The investment mandate is providing senior secured loans with warrants, reducing risk compared to traditional equity investing. The fund takes a hands on approach in portfolio management, partnering with senior management within their portfolio companies for strategic decisions.

As an investment professional in the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end execution and portfolio management of deals. Investment Managers should have the capability to act as board observers and have the soft skills to become an originator in time – these candidates will likely have 6-9 years' relevant work experience. Investment Associates will develop into these responsibilities in time and likely come with 4-6 years' relevant work experience. Relevant backgrounds for this team include big-four accounting firms within the deals, restructuring or debt advisory functions. Candidates from corporate banking (credit), investment banking, debt funds and management consulting will also be considered. Ideally, the candidate should come with credit experience and understanding but this is not essential. Most importantly, the candidate should be passionate about tech companies and venture investing and feel comfortable networking and being embedded within the start-up ecosystem.
