The purpose of the role of Manager (Workforce and Data) is to lead the development and implementation of the Queensland Transport and Logistics Workforce Strategy and Action Plan and to contribute to identifying options and evidence-based solutions to address existing and emerging supply chain issues.

You will have regular engagement with freight and logistics industry stakeholders and provide strategic briefings for consideration by government and senior management.


Some of your responsibilities will include: - Facilitate engagement with local, state, and federal governments and industry to ensure the planning, development and operation of Queensland's multi-modal freight system reflects and supports emerging freight needs, supply chain resilience and regional economic development. Provide strategic workforce capability advice to transport and logistics industry stakeholders to support informed decisions, and government policy and planning activities. Manage the freight data function to identify and analyse relevant data streams as inputs to existing and emerging reporting, and to assist in evidence-based options development and decision making. Prepare and review executive-level briefings, reports, submissions, business cases and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards to effectively brief the Minister and senior management on the progress of various policy initiatives/projects. Foster a collaborative working environment, which promotes effective information and knowledge sharing, and actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
