What you'll be doing
  • Occupational Assessment, screening and vaccination against specified preventable diseases in accordance with NSW Health Policy Directive PD 2018_009
  • The role is an autonomous position in regard to the effective day-to day co-ordination of compliance with the vaccination and health screening requirements of NSW Health Policy 2018_009 and the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
  • Blood and Body Fluid post exposure management and counselling effected staff – as required
Current Nursing registration AHPRA and certification as an authorised Nurse Immuniser in NSW as per Ministry of Health and Nurses Registration Board Requirements. Relevant experience in similar role with a minimum of 3 years Demonstrated knowledge of management of exposures to blood borne pathogens Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills High level of computer skills and data base usage

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
