The Role:


Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer this full time permanent role will be based at our 990 La Trobe Street Head Office and working from home.

The Insurance Manager is accountable for leading the development and implementation of the Insurance Program, overseeing insurance broking activities, facilitating the Insurance Claims Management process, and driving commercial understanding of insurance throughout the organisation.


This will be achieved through:

  • Providing internal advice to the business for all insurance matters
  • Managing the annual insurance renewal program, including the completion of the annual insurance questionnaires and supporting information and insurance placement
  • Critically evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement in the insurance program

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and incorporate the balance between commercial and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to manage all insurance claims, with the assistance of the outsource claims manager
  • Tertiary degree in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting.
  • Ability to think strategically and to identify and implement ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage the organisationwide strategic approach to insurance
