Role and Responsibilities Developing strong client relationships, discussing applications and creating a pipeline
Dealing with a variety of stakeholders within Defence & Government
Develop an in-depth understanding of test and measurement solutions
Analyse customer structure, plan and strategically develop plans for success
Building and maintaining influential networks within customer community
Attend relevant events, exhibitions and conferences Experience required Customer facing experience in related roles discussing technical applications
Contributed to proposals, tenders, bids or proposals
Ideally time spent within military or government organisation
Knowledge of defence and/or government procurement

Working with a growing Delegate Acquisition Sales team who are regularly exceeding their KPI's and targets to earn amazing commissions.

It is not your usual sales role, you will be contacting C-Level executives and senior decision makers across a wide range of industries from both warm and cold leads.

Fun, energetic work environment in a based in Sydney CBD.

Tasks Include:

  • Attend briefings with the conference producer for your sector
  • Create value propositions in line with the briefing for each event
  • Continuously identify, research and generate leads and prospects for the market.
  • Qualify leads in order to secure revenue for conferences and events within your sector.
  • Produce and distribute proposals to qualified prospects to secure revenue.
  • Provide market, event and prospects feedback to the Director of Sales.
  • Promptly raise issues or challenges faced for delegate acquisition on an assigned event, relationship or area.
  • Sell the delegate opportunities and packages at the company's events in order to achieve KPIs and targets set and agreed.
  • Negotiating contract terms, signing confirmed deals and chasing payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales figures and paid accounts.
  • Effective relationship and account management of clients in order to increase the opportunity of repeat business.
  • Work independently.
  • Takes responsibility for continuous development proactively recording and reviewing calls to address challenges or barriers.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • You will be required to converse with decision makers at a senior level across various industries.
  • You will be required to make genuine business, technical and industry connections.
  • Strong commercial and / or delegate sales experience, minimum of 3 years, with a heavy focus on short-cycle new business development.
  • Solid research and prospect generation experience.
  • A customer focused approach and a strong communicator, able to build and communicate a clear value proposition.
  • Motivated by goals and targets, with a focus on company and team values.
