We are offering an exciting opportunity for an astute self-motivated person to join our team in the newly created position of Process Improvement Lead.
This position will work closely with production and technical departments, and require someone with exceptional analytical, problem solving, and system programming skills.
The person coming into this position must be willing to get their hands dirty and get a real understanding of timber, the sawmilling process, our equipment and technology as well as the products produced.
The Process Improvement Lead will be based at and have primary focus on our Caboolture, Queensland operation, however, may be required to support and travel to our other sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has a passion for continues improvement and collaborating with key stakeholders across the site to implement key outcomes to real process improvement.
The Process Improvement Lead will be responsible for tasks including:
- Investigate, develop and implement process flow improvements to optimize the availability and effectiveness of plant and equipment.
- Translate highly technical information into an easily understandable format.
- Create Highquality documents to meet the needs of the processes, collaborating with technical staff to determine appropriate content.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the processes and driving actions for change.
- Lead the process improvement plans in execution.
- Successful delivery of workshops/facilitated events to plan and execute CI/PI; validating issues, identifying root causes, developing corrective actions and implementing change to deliver results.
- You will work cohesively with the site team and your peers to share bestpractice developing internal capability, harnessing the power of shared learning and opportunities.
Experience and Requirements:
- Completed training and/or qualifications in Continuous Improvement, Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team to meet deadlines
- Ability to and passion for problem solving
- Mechanically minded
- Excellent computer and systems knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
