We have an opportunity for a National Manager for S Connect/Media & Pop Up to join the team at our Sydney head office.


The Opportunity - About the Role


The National Manager of S Connect is responsible for strategically managing, developing and evolving the S Connect Business to maximise stakeholder value, and drive long term performance.

Revenue streams include Pop Up, Static & Digital Advertising, VSCL, Food Trucks, Experiential & events, passive income including programmatic, sponsorship and partnership within the Stockland portfolio.


The role is responsible for driving ongoing performance through strategic relationships, commercialisation and monetisation, product growth and new revenue streams.

In addition, a primary focus will be on innovation (underpinned by revenue), ensuring all growth opportunities are effectively strategised and aligned to organisational objectives, financial performance and is in synergy with shopper experience and place strategy across each of the business verticals.


Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the S Connect strategy, to support the wider Commercial property strategy, 3C's
  • Convenience, Community and Curation at the fore of all delivery opportunities, Last Mile and Place Making, whilst also considering innovation and the blending of the physical and digital aspects of the assets.
  • Setting and delivery of portfolio wide S Connect income; revenue streams include pop up, media, experiential, sponsorship & partnership, vacant shop, telco, vending, programmatic and selfdeveloped revenue streams.
  • Provide accurate reports including adhoc, weekly, quarterly and reforecasting.
  • Report actual performance to budget, with variance analysis and revised projections (initiating corrective action and/or change in strategy as necessary), collaborating with finance where applicable.
  • Continual assessment/audit of the Stockland portfolio and proactive response ensuring Stockland is at the forefront of the Australian regional market.
  • Manage, coach and influence team members, leading and growing a high performing team measured against revenue and innovationbased performance.
  • Develop and manage internal control processes and policies designed to be compliant and best practice, in line with internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and participation across company and industry wide audits.
  • Comply with all obligations imposed by WH&S legislation, as outlined in WH&S Roles and Responsibilities, including adhering to relevant documented WH&S procedures.
  • Enhance Stockland's Operational Risk leadership practices and reputation through demonstrating risk leadership within remit; adhering to relevant compliance and regulatory obligations; participating in operational risk training; and actively contributing to the development and review of operational risk procedures.

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated corporate sales success and experience.
  • Sales and marketing management minimum 5 years
  • Media sales & popup extensive experience minimum 5 years
  • Media Sales Experience (high profile agency, brand or other) at a corporate level (5+ years).
  • Solution selling & customer centric selling experience.
  • Commercial management experience minimum 5 years
  • Innate understanding of Australian media landscape to align and predict opportunity and impact for Stockland.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants, external and internal clients, industry professionals and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of achieving commercial targets whilst leading, managing and developing a high performance teams.
  • Extensive negotiation skills and contract management.
  • Experience in Internal Control & Risk Management and Compliance processes.
  • Management experience, with responsibilities in financial and budget management.

Preferred Experience

  • Product development (with financial modelling) static and digital.
  • Broad understanding of overall and media landscape including major advertising medium providers.
  • Design thinking experience.
  • Project management including mobilisation experience.
  • Working in the sponsorship department of a business and experience in sponsorship servicing and fulfilment.
  • Shopping Centre based experience.
