Develop current business and develop new business and external clients relations by securing briefs and identifying and responding to opportunities.

Develop excellent internal client relationships in all main areas (Purchasing, Marketing and Technical) and at all levels in Givaudan.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will build new business opportunities together with sales by engaging teams across departments and drawing insights from market trends, category information, consumer research data and technology to provide customized solutions for clients.


Your role will include:

  • Develop projects designed to win and retain new main accounts to achieve sales targets
  • Secure project briefs by promoting customer relationships by understanding customer's business, marketing strategies, customer business strategy and the Oceania market
  • Design and implement a strategy to lead evaluation resources for proactive attack of business opportunities in Oceania
  • Build new business opportunities together with sales by engaging teams across several departments
  • Manage the important customer accounts as allocated and defined in the Key Account List
  • Undertake regular customer visits to service needs and promptly deal with issues or complaints
  • Coordinate with other teams (marketing, production, market research) to meet deadlines and deliver quality information to main accounts
  • Support a global key account business in Australia and New Zealand in partnership with the Regional Account Manager
  • Define tasks to familiarize commercial team with existing collection. Identifying top benchmarks to match and keep track of.
  • Define strategies to promote old top sellers which today are not sold. Identify gaps in collection and promote action to resolve them.
  • Manage collection reviews of collections created abroad.
  • Monitor releases, gather team to smell, keep record of comments in a shared file.
  • Support the International Accounts in Australia in partnership with the Regional Account Manager

Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree in sales, marketing, business or any relevant area
  • Minimum ten years of experience working in the fragrance or speciality chemicals industries, including knowledge of market trends, competitor activities with customers and customer strategy and working process
  • Demonstrated experience to work collaboratively across multiple teams towards goals
  • Demonstrated experience to project lead customer briefs, a negotiator and building and maintaining customer relationships with important decision makers
  • Competent developing and delivering compelling presentations
  • Competent olfactive knowledge and perfumery language
  • Unlimited work rights to work in Australia
