The Opportunity

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager - South, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key builders, segments, and supporting the conversion of SME builders and some larger builders within the Brisbane and Gold Coast region in QLD.

As the Account Manager you will be accountable for continually advancing James Hardie's growth of High Value Products with our customers by targeting builders that service the single family new construction and renovation segments. This is done by implementing the company's Sales and Marketing strategies to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable profitable growth year on year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to drive scalable market development with small builders
  • Align Key builders and installers with stores​, driving growth through influence and the creation of enablers/advocates of our products
  • Educate customer sales reps though training quarterly to further drive Fibre Cement conversion and growth
  • Drive desire to change, formulate and manage growth plan​ for sales​
  • Deliver proof points through co-creation​
  • Manage local builder association relationships and drive awareness of James Hardie Products

About you

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience with a proven track record in business development
  • Experience working with builders or within the building and/construction industry would be strongly preferred, though not essential
  • Proficiency utilising the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as CRM systems i.e. Salesforce
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder management experience
  • Proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategic and tactical thinking to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training programs to build customers capability
  • Team player who can work cross functionally
