The Role

  • Reporting into the General Manager, Compliance, you will be responsible for developing a strategy to foster and enhance relationships with all of Insignia's regulators as well as provide specialist and strategic advice to business stakeholders regarding current and emerging areas with a regulatory focus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive management of relationship with all Insignia regulators (excluding AUSTRAC and ATO)
  • Development and execution of a relationship management strategy to foster and enhance these relationships
  • Drive a cultural uplift in regulatory relations across the organisation
  • Facilitating timely and transparent business responses to regulatory requests (including Notices)
  • Accountable for the maintenance of fitforpurpose Regulatory Engagement standards and protocols across Insignia
  • Provide strategic and specialist advice to business stakeholders in areas of current or emerging regulatory focus
  • Coach and lead your team through a change period
  • Foster a culture across Insignia of transparency and mutual respect with all regulators

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services sector
  • Strong strategic relationship management experience in both development and execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to invest in, and foster, enduring relationships with regulators and Government
  • Proven ability to develop deep relationships with Executives and Board Members
  • Impact and influencing skills along with experience in senior stakeholder management
  • Experience in driving change and leading and coaching your team on a change journey
  • Deep knowledge of risk and compliance principles and frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen with strategic capability
  • Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment
  • Strong people leadership skills, demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others and foster a positive team environment
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
