About us:

We're a team that cares about you and your community.

  • Manage the regulatory reset process, inclusive of strategic decision making, process governance, and effectively mobilising internal and external resources.
  • Act as a key conduit in the relationship with the Australian Energy Regulator in order to optimise our regulatory reset strategy and associated outcomes.
  • Build and strengthen key relationships with regulators, government, other distributors, consumer advocate and lobby groups.
  • Develop and execute optimal regulatory strategy in relation to the regulatory framework, including incentive arrangements, reporting, expenditure guidelines and reset strategies.
  • Develop and implement plans that result in a positive commercial and customer centric culture, enabling and encouraging others within the team.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • A tertiary qualification in either economics or law.
  • Detailed strategic knowledge of regulatory environments, with relevant experience in a utilities sector.
  • Experience in working with the AER and/or other regulatory bodies.
  • The ability to navigate complex economic and legal concepts.
  • Well developed commercial acumen.
  • Excellent relationship building skills to work pragmatically and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and industry bodies.
  • Experience in leading and inspiring high performance within a medium to large team.
  • The ability to navigate complexity and distil concepts and ideas into materials that are clear and concise.

Your career with us:

We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes. Our people are our most important asset, and we continually invest in nurturing their capability.

Working with us means being fully supported to make the most of new experiences, and to build a career through a range of opportunities to learn from the best and to grow in a safe, inclusive, flexible and collaborative environment.

Our greatest priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and the communities we operate within.

This includes their physical safety - ensuring everyone gets home safely everyday - as well as their psychological safety, by ensuring everyone has the resources and support needed to achieve a work-life balance and be the best they can be.
