About our role

We now have a new and exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Specialist to join our Global Regulatory Affairs Team , based at our APAC head office in Mentone.

What you will do

Reporting to the Regulatory Manager APAC, you will provide regulatory affairs and compliance advice on matters related to new product development, product changes and food product labelling for APAC.

Key activities include:

  • Regulatory compliance of artwork
  • Substantiation support for product claims.
  • Documentation for traceability and auditing
  • Technical regulatory expertise on regulatory changes
  • Regulatory support and advice for internal and external customers
  • Broad cross-functional collaboration.
About you
  • You hold a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Every day is different therefore you need to be able to prioritise multiple projects and competing demands as well as keeping abreast of regulatory changes impacting the business.
  • Your key stakeholders will include Marketing, Product Development, Quality and Nutrition teams. You therefore hold excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, and ability to influence and work with a diverse range of people effectively.
  • You present a clear and partnering style of communication both in written and spoken form. You understand product development and have experienced a technical role within the food industry.
  • A sound knowledge of NPI and product change management is ideal.

Most importantly, you hold a detailed knowledge of Australia's Food Regulatory Framework, FSANZ requirements, Country of Origin labelling, and relevant knowledge of Australian Consumer Law, weights & measures, and regulatory affairs in general. Experience in international regulatory frameworks would be desirable.

You are a degree qualified Food Technologist (or similar) who holds an understanding of the relationship between product labelling and regulatory directives.
