As the Grid Connection Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in our client's mission, overseeing the critical process of connecting renewable energy projects to the grid in Australia.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, engage with key stakeholders, and leverage your technical expertise to ensure the seamless integration of renewable energy sources into the grid infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrid Connection Strategy:
Develop and implement strategies for grid connection activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders, including network service providers, regulatory bodies, and local communities, to facilitate smooth grid connection processes
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical expertise and guidance on grid connection matters, including network integration studies, connection agreements, and grid code compliance
Project Management:
Lead the grid connection process for renewable energy projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and challenges related to grid connection activities and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards related to grid connection in Australia, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
Team Leadership:
Lead a team of grid connection professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, legal, and finance to ensure seamless integration of grid connection activities with overall project objectives
Budget Oversight:
Manage the budget for grid connection activities, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize grid connection processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce time to market for renewable energy projects
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare regular reports and documentation on grid connection activities, project status, and key milestones for internal and external stakeholders
Conflict Resolution:
Handle conflicts and disputes related to grid connection issues in a timely and professional manner, working towards mutually beneficial resolutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in grid connection management, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
Strong understanding of electrical power systems, grid infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks in Australia.
Proven track record of successfully managing grid connection processes for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong leadership skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving results.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
