The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grid Connection Engineer to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and facilitating the connection of their renewable energy projects to the national grid.

This role is crucial for ensuring the successful integration of wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources into the electrical grid, supporting their ambitious targets for sustainable energy production.

Key Responsibilities Grid Connection Planning and Management: Coordinate with network operators and stakeholders to secure grid connection agreements for new renewable energy projects.

Develop grid connection strategies that align with project timelines and regulatory requirements.
Manage the application process for grid connections, including the preparation and submission of necessary documentation.

Technical Analysis and Design:
Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for grid connections.
Design grid connection solutions, including electrical system layouts and connection points.
Perform load flow and fault level studies to ensure compliance with grid codes and standards.

Project Coordination and Implementation:
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and external contractors to ensure seamless integration of grid connections within project development.
Oversee the construction and commissioning of grid connection infrastructure, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay abreast of relevant grid codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure all grid connection activities comply with national and regional regulations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with grid connection projects, including technical, financial, and operational risks.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with network operators, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and regulatory consultations.
Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
Proven experience in grid connection engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, grid codes, and connection standards.
Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, DIg SILENT, ETAP).
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
