About You

The Coordinator, Strategic Capability, provides administrative and program delivery support as a member of the Strategic Capability team, who contributes to RMIT's strategic research capability agenda

This includes:

Coordination and delivery of:

  • Researcher recognition and Awards programs such as the RMIT Research Awards
  • Researcher support programs such as Career Re-Ignite and strategic internal funding programs

Administrative support and assistance for:

  • Researcher networks such as the Women Researchers' Network
  • Vice Chancellor's Research Fellowships Program
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Previous experience in delivery of enterprise-level programs.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills that support an effective working relationship with internal and external groups and individuals.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks with tight timeframes, and whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience and demonstrated ability in preparing high level correspondence, reports, advisory notes and the delivery of information sessions or other presentations.
  • A service excellence mindset, with a focus on delivering high quality results for the needs associated with all customers (internal and external).
  • Demonstrated high level of analytical and problemsolving skills with the capacity to identify and manage sensitive issues.
  • Previous experience in a University environment and engaging with researchers is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values and professional capability framework.
