By employing a cooperative, data-driven strategy through their initiatives and services, and by partnering with the wider community and affiliated entities, BSL concentrates on formulating practical solutions that result in authentic, significant transformations.


As an integral part of their forthcoming Strategy, BSL aims:
- To promote an ambitious national agenda aimed at preventing and eradicating all types of poverty.
- To establish robust evidence to advocate for policy adjustments and systemic transformations.
- To exhibit, provide, and propagate effective solutions that empower individuals to achieve their desired lifestyle.
- To encourage and empower all team members and volunteers to contribute to BSL's mission and vision.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this pivotal Head of Social Enterprises role holds the responsibility of ensuring that BSL strikes a harmonious balance between social impact in alignment with their ambitious strategy and cultivating a dynamic, innovative social enterprise that generates surpluses in support of their cause.

Bringing forth an inventive mindset and exploring novel initiatives that deliver quantifiable results, the 4 primary areas of emphasis encompass:
- Setting the vision and formulating a sturdy strategy to accomplish BSL's social enterprise objectives.
- Adopting an entrepreneurial stance to stimulate innovation.
- Cultivating a customer-centric approach throughout BSL's outlets, workforce, and volunteers.
- Enhancing operational excellence in BSL's retail endeavors.

Key success factors:
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing retail operations with a strong emphasis on store administration and eCommerce.
- A strategic outlook towards supervising a geographically dispersed network of stores with a sizable, decentralized workforce comprising employees and volunteers.
- A verified ability to identify strategic expansion prospects, forge partnerships, and establish fresh revenue streams.
