About the Role
The purpose of the HSE Lead within the Echo Group is to support the Echo Group organisation in understanding and implementing leading Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Practices that are in alignment with all regulatory and EnergyAustralia expectations.
This will involve influencing and strengthening the health and safety culture that exists within Echo Group but also with the contractors in which it engages across all divisions of its business.
The HSE Lead role also will have direct responsibility for ensuring that
- HSE regulatory compliance requirements are identified, communicated, and maintained within Echo Group.
- Hazards and Risks are identified and managed within all Echo Group Projects ALARP.
- All Echo Group HSE strategies, policies and procedures are developed and maintained.
- HSE support, guidance and coaching of workers and leadership team.
- Risk Management processes are integrated into all activities.
- HSE records are maintained.
- Risk assessments, Safe operating Procedure sand Safe Work Method Statements are developed, reviewed, and endorsed.
- HSE input is included in training management processes for staff and contractors and HSE inductions are delivered to all workers as required.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Safety or related discipline and/or substantial experience working in a similar role.
- Excellent Contractor Management experience from engagement, onboarding through to monitoring.
- Proven hazard and risk identification skills associated with field and construction activities
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, codes of practice and Australian Standards
- Demonstrated ability to identify legislative changes and implement into the relevant safety management system and plans
- Incident investigation training.
