Reporting to a Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual advice on major rail works packages as part of the procurement and delivery for SRL East.
The role will include tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation, contract award and delivery phases.The role will be required to work as part of team and manage external commercial, legal and transaction advisors to ensure a consistent and agreed approach is taken on commercial and contractual positions.
The role will require someone who is a strategic thinker, familiar with the processes and policies associated with commercial, legal, procurement and major projects delivery.
What you will do- Manage the preparation of tender documentation, tender evaluation materials, contract documents and negotiation and award of delivery contracts.
- Manage the timely resolution of commercial or contractual matters with due consideration of alternative or competing priorities, including working closely with engineering, legal and transaction specialists.
- Lead the preparation of procurement, packaging and delivery plans including Procurement Plans and Strategies, Probity Plans, Tender Evaluation Plans and Contract Management Plans, including obtaining relevant sign offs from stakeholders and advisors.
- Prepare briefings and submissions in relation to approval for the different procurement phases of the SRL projects.
- Develop and implement a tailored, efficient approach to transaction and contract management and assurance that accommodates multiple works packages.
