SUMMARY ROLE AND FUNCTION

  • Contribute to the development and achievement of Karitane Human Resources, WH&S and support Corporate administration's objectives, policies, strategies and practices on a broad range of human resources functions including HR transaction processes, recruitment, orientation, leave, interpretation and implementation of HR policies.
  • Participate in HR, WHS and Corporate related projects and quality improvement processes as required.
  • Keep informed of current trends and developments within the HR / WHS field by taking responsibility for personal and professional/work education and development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience to interpret relevant legislation and HR /WHS policies
  • Sound organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to provide responsive and effective customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create dashboards and reports for high level committee meetings
  • Experience in using use stand alone and online databases effectively
  • Experience in supporting committees
  • Experience with Microsoft Software, including Publisher, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams

Task list:
(General overview)


  • Policies: Contribute to the identification of HR, WHS & Corporate policy and guideline needs and responses, including policy development, review and implementation.
  • Projects: Implementation of identified HR/WHS projects as required
  • Participate in and support corporate quality improvement initiatives and strategies.
  • Databases: Support general administrative management of HR / WHS/ Vaxlink
  • Databases and administrative tasks
  • Reporting supporting the preparation of dashboard reporting on key HR/WHS/Corporate statistical data and information as required.
  • HR Administration support for transactional HR and payroll processes including review and updating of HR forms to eForms
  • Assist managers with any required change of employee detail processes and updates.
  • Manage HR processes for on boarding new staff.
  • Coordination for the supply and distribution of uniforms to staff.
  • Supporting relevant Committees: eg: People and Culture and the WHS

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent full-time employment in accordance with The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Health Employees Agreement. Shift times and days may be varied according to the needs of the organisation. Karitane services are provided at several sites in NSW.

The majority of Karitane's services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.

This position is required to provide administration support to Human Resources, Work Health and Safety, and corporate support portfolios.


Relevant Criminal History, Working with Children's Check, Apprehended Violence Orders and prior employment checks, including relevant disciplinary proceedings, will be undertaken.
