We are looking for an Events & Awards Coordinator to join us for a 12 months fixed term contract, preferably in Melbourne.

About the role

The Awards unit of the Professional Development (PD) team is responsible for the development and execution of the Engineers Australia Excellence Awards. This role is responsible for ensuring the program provides quality & meaningful experiences for the various stakeholders involved as well as showcase & promote the prestige of the practice of engineering whilst recognising the outstanding achievements of the engineers, national and international, across broad categories of people and projects. The operational capability and performance of the team which includes collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes is critical to the success of the program.

In this role you will:

Collaborate with team members to build and maintain strong relationships within the Member and Customer team, more broadly across EA, developing positive partnerships, including Marketing, Communications, Digital & Technology, Facilities, Business Growth, Policy & Advocacy, Divisions, Member Services, Finance, EEA and Office Bearers, volunteers, and members Coordinate service standards, policies, and procedures with team members, volunteers, and office bearers Utilize volunteer network for event planning and execution. Ensure high-quality customer service at award events. Maintain accurate data records. Provide training to new team members as needed. Collaborate with the broader Professional Development team when necessary

Here's what we're looking for:

Considering that this is an entry-level position, we appreciate any background in customer service delivery. Your experience in administration, and familiarity with award or event delivery processes and procedures, will be valuable assets for this role. You are comfortable with: Managing multiple projects at once, Building solid relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, Developing networks, and establish credibility with, internal and external stakeholders You have expertise in: Working with volunteers and various stakeholders, Planning and executing effectively, with a high level of attention to details, well-developed computing skills, Event delivery and event operations You will do well in this role if you are strongly outcomes-focused and highly motivated, innovative and achievement-oriented with a passionate 'customer first' focus
