The Role


The primary focus of this role will be required to assist with the successful deployment and continuous improvement of Logistics Operational Systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing the rollout strategy and framework of Logistics Operational Systems to key PFD sites around the country (including Manhattan WMS, PFD WMS and other operations systems)
  • Support of sitespecific implementation plans; incorporate system configuration, site layout, processes, slotting, labelling requirements
  • Development of a WMS training program incorporating user and quick reference guides, assessment and competencies and system Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's)
  • Identify site super users by function and deliver WMS operator training
  • Supporting alternate technology solutions including SCI reporting and other custom projects; including pick path optimisation and warehouse slotting to allow for improved safety outcomes and increased productivity
  • Monitoring of the system in order to continuously improve functionality and to troubleshoot problems
  • Supporting operational teams in continuous improvement analysis, solution refinement and implementation of optimisation strategies.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with a tier 1 full scale warehouse management system desirable
  • A working knowledge of warehouse and distribution functions
  • An understanding of distribution demand/supply business processes and implementing functionality and supporting users
  • Demonstrated ability to implement new systems and experience in process mapping and gap analysis
  • Experience in developing a training needs analysis & training material in both 1 on 1 & classroom environment
  • Train the Trainer (Inhouse training program)
  • A solid knowledge of OH & S regulations
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Ability to travel when required and support off shift hours and weekends on occasion as required
