As a Learning and Development Officer, you'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative learning programs and practices that align with the organisation's goals.

You'll support the People and Culture Organisational Development Coordinator in identifying workforce needs and ensuring programs meet these requirements.

Position Objectives:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate learning programs that align with organisational goals.
  • Support the identification of workforce needs.
  • Oversee the corporate development function, maximising training effectiveness.
  • Implement systems for monitoring and evaluating training contracts.
  • Administer development initiatives using Council's LEARN platform.
  • Maintain the Induction Framework and support onthejob training.
  • Provide integrated learning and development consultancy services.

About You:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop teambased training programs.
  • Creative problemsolving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification and relevant experience in training and development.
  • Operational level experience in training and development.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement learning programs.
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Consultancy skills for interpreting and advising on development requirements.
  • Highly motivated with change management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
