We a seeking a Part Time Social Worker to work with our clients at the Burger Centre. A degree in Social Work is essential.


The Social Worker would work in the Berger Centre program to assist families and individuals who are in crisis or are in vulnerable situations, assess clients, provide case management and offer services which will best meet their needs.

We are seeking a suitably qualified person to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Randwick close to transport links.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers)
  • Demonstrated 2 years' experience in case management in the social welfare sector;
  • Ability to assess client support needs clinically and develop care plans that support those needs;
  • Understanding of personcentred approach to client care;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clients;

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience using a range of practice methods;
  • Experience in engaging, consulting and negotiating with a range of stakeholders families, service users;
  • Knowledge, sensitivity and an understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture.
