About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic State Manager to lead our NSW Branch based in our National office located in Macquarie Park.

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the primary accountabilities are to:

  • Lead, coach and manage the Branch to achieve their sales budget and/or related KPIs.
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of the sales team in line with established sales methodology.
  • Motivate and support the Branch to drive sales and manage internal processes from presales to delivery to ensure success and achievement of targets.
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of business plans, forecasts, internal order processes and customer management.
  • Build and implement business strategies to develop new and existing account growth.
  • Allocate work and projects to the team according to deadlines and business goals.
  • Manage the engagement, retention and performance of employees within the team.
  • Collaborate with other Branch Managers to drive additional business in traditional office product vertical.
  • Collaborate with Vertical General Managers to drive business in key market areas.
  • Develop relationships with large accounts.
  • Manage the costs relating to the Victorian branch and look to innovative ways to reduce costs.
  • Lead complex tender submissions.
  • Implement a High Performance Culture strategy in line with a National plan.
  • Work with the State Service Delivery Manager and the Service team to deliver high quality customer service

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, business acumen and a sense of urgency
  • Extensive experience in sales
  • Proven track record of overachieving budgets
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to networking with corporate and government communities
  • Exceptional presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
  • Valid working rights for Australia
  • Maintain a valid driving licence
