The Position

Be part of our team as a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, ensuring the smooth operation of our Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical and refrigerated machinery, overseeing maintenance schedules, and supporting various projects. Your role will also involve implementing safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and managing safety audits.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on a variety of electrical and refrigerated equipment
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance schedules for equipment in a temperature-controlled food storage environment
  • Support the management team by overseeing major projects
  • Enforce contract management processes and ensure compliance
  • Participate in safety improvement initiatives and risk assessments
  • Assign and follow up on corrective actions and investigations promptly
  • Coordinate safety audits and assist in implementing necessary corrective measures

Skills and Qualifications

  • Holds a qualification in a relevant trade (Electrical/Refrigeration)
  • General knowledge of facilities, maintenance, and trades practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Can ensure staff compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Proficient in HACCP, OH&S regulations, and cold storage principles
  • Strong computer skills, including hazard and incident reporting systems
  • Availability for on-call duties after hours
