Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Human Resource Manager will play a critical role in the overall human resources function for the business. This position involves developing and implementing the human resource strategy, policies, and management initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the leadership team driving employee engagement and supporting the professional development of all team members. Leading a small team, you will co-ordinate the development and implementation of key programs and initiatives to support our operational requirements and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have had experience across the health sector, with a good understanding of Employee and Industrial Relations. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Partner with the leadership team to identify talent gaps and develop strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for all positions.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on workplace policies and industrial relations issues, HR-related issues, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive training and development programs to enhance employee skills, competencies, and career progression.
  • Support the business with succession planning.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the healthcare industry and adjust HR strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field will be highly regarded.
  2. 5+ years of senior HR experience in the health industry, with a proven track record of success in a managerial role.
  3. Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements specific to the health sector.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  5. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement HR initiatives that align with business objectives.
