The role:
We are currently seeking an innovative and driven Asset Management Specialist to join our team.

As the Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the improvement initiatives across all disciplines within the Infrastructure department to drive business improvements in line with our franchise obligations, best practice and the Big Build Agenda.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise and engage with key stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring that beneficial relationships are maintained.
  • Lead a portfolio of asset management initiatives across different lines of business to ensure their completion is on time and with desired outcomes achieved.
  • Drive an outcome focused approach and ensure that effective asset management and stakeholder management principles are applied.
  • Create and implement business improvements initiatives following audit findings.
  • Coordinate and manage asset management related projects providing expertise on good asset management practices and continuous improvement.
  • Create monthly comprehensive program status reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Create and present monthly reporting on the status and timeline of projects to internal and external senior leadership stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Metro's contractual obligations and where possible exceed these to drive Infrastructure's asset management aspirations.

About you:

  • General Infrastructure industry experience i.e. airline, water, oil and gas etc in either an operations, delivery or technical role.
  • Extensive experience with stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary organisations.
  • A demonstrated ability to diagnose and problem solve to identify alternative approaches and solutions to complex business problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data, identify trends, and develop strategies to address issues.
