South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is now recruiting to the Clinical Streams - Cancer Services.

The position is responsible for providing strong leadership and senior management to the Clinical Stream - Cancer Services to ensure
delivery of an integrated and effective service across SESLHD.
Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Operations Priorities, the Clinical Stream Manager - Cancer Services will ensure SESLHD District
Priorities, Ministry of Health and State-Wide Pillar models of care are implemented and followed across all SESLHD
facilities in a consistent manner. The manager will ensure processes are in place to monitor compliance with policy
directives and guidelines.
The position holder will ensure that SESLHD meets the Ministry of Health performance targets and designated KPIs in
line with the SESLHD Service Agreement with the Ministry of Health as they relate to patient management, consistent
with the District's strategic direction.

_Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing._

_ All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW._

_ Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations._

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in clinical or health management and current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; OR Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Professionals (State) Award and registration with AHPRA and/or governing discipline body if required by the Award; OR Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), along with a minimum twoyear fulltime APACaccredited Masters degree or higher in clinical psychology (or equivalent AOPE area).
  • Proven experience in, and demonstrated record of sound achievement, delivering key service outcomes and leadership at senior management level within designated timeframes in a large and complex health organisation.
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to health care provision and management necessary to improve health outcomes for service consumers.
  • Demonstrated excellence in all aspects of the management of human resource/financial/administrative/clinical services using strategic/business planning, integration and evaluation skills to ensure available resources are used effectively within complex teams.
  • Excellent strategic planning, project management and policy development skills, including the ability to make complex judgements and take initiative within the delegated area.
