This role will be working within a fast-paced agile environment in Optus' Digital Connected Experience Tribe and be at the frontier of digital innovation at Optus.

The Digital Connected Experience Tribe's purpose is to deliver simple, intuitive and innovative digital experiences which engages our customers, services their needs, increases revenue, reduces inbound contacts and sets Optus as a market leader in digital delivery

The Tribe's key responsibilities:

  • Create, own and drive a cohesive digital strategy and experience for Optus' digital assets within the Platforms tribe (Salesforce as a platform, AEM & legacy)
  • Creating exciting, reliable, and innovative digital experiences that align to Optus' strategy as a major Australian Telco and Content provider.


It consists of several cross functional teams (squads) which each have clear specific purposes and objectives that align to the Digital Connected Experience Tribe.

The Tribe Operations & Engagement Lead will report into Digital Capability Manager.

The Tribe Operations & Engagement Lead will help us develop and maintain operational excellence within the Tribe including:

  • Working with Chapter Leads to establish onboarding supporting materials for new Tribe members.
  • Ensuring Tribe and Squad personnel profiles are kept up to date including financial profiles, team lists etc.
  • Support Digital squads across Optus Procurement processes / workflows (ie. Preparations of documentations required, liaise between initiatives owners and Procurements BU)
  • Ownership of commercial & Tribe operational planning monthly, quarterly and yearly financial activity including CAPEX & OPEX planning. Actuals vs Spend, SoW execution, Invoicing, billing & payments.
  • Drive operational excellence within the tribe with ceremonies and tribe engagement uplift.
  • Support with annual operations planning for Tribe.
