Overview of the role


As Manager, Delivery Enablement you will be responsible for leading a team aligned to Suncorp's delivery practice to achieve transformational ways of working, focused on improving the speed, efficiency and agility of our delivery practices.

This is an ideal role for someone who has either been a Chapter Lead, Project Manager, Coach or Scrum Master, and who combines strong skills in people leadership and project delivery.


You will have up to 25 direct reports, so it is essential that you are adept at all aspects of people management, from recruiting, developing capability and problem solving.


This role enables you to be involved in building the foundations of a Chapter aligned with a continuous delivery model as well as supporting traditional project delivery models, and have exposure to major projects/tribes from a people/resource perspective.

This fixed term contract is initially for 6 months with a possibility of extension.

What you'll do:

Leadership:

  • Manage up to 25 direct reports; lead and develop the capability of others through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and performance management
  • Actively contribute to the capability uplift and development of a team of high performers

Project and Program Delivery:

  • Support delivery with appropriate scoping, sizing and resourcing/recruitment of delivery activities on projects and act as an escalation point.

Delivery Practice:

  • Progressively define and develop the Delivery practice ensuring the right tools, frameworks and standards are identified, implemented and embedded.
  • Complete quality assurance and reviews of project artefacts, advise on and/or address deviations from the agreed framework and methodology.

Delivery Excellence:

  • Champion a delivery excellence culture and mindset
  • Support the development, roll out and adoption of best in class delivery model including ways of working, practices, processes and behaviours

What you'll bring:

  • 3 to 5 years people management/leadership experience and a proven track record in leading high performing teams
  • Previous experience working as either a Chapter Lead, Project Manager, Coach or Scrum Master on complex projects
  • Experience with recruitment and managing resources whilst building capability
  • Capability framework experience would be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Experience building and influencing successful business relationships, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Agile, Lean and Waterfall methodology
  • Systematic and disciplined approach to planning, organising, decision making and delegation
  • Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities
  • Skilled ability to work in a dynamic leadership team, contributing to the overall goals of the group
