Reporting to the General Manager, you will be managing all aspects of the Front Office department including porterage services.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Prepare the Front Office roster in line with the Hospitality Industry General Award, and planning/assigning work.
  • Ensure the Hotel's key metrics are met and exceeded through engagement initiatives to drive revenue/increase loyalty recognition.
  • Direct, coach, and develop the Duty Managers, and Guest Service Agents in the Front Office team team members).
  • Conduct recruitment and onboarding practices for the Front Office department.
  • Place orders for required inventory through the IHG purchasing system.
  • Work closely with the finance team to set, monitor and realign your departmental budget including managing payroll costs.
  • Provide your team with adequate training to ensure they have the right tools to perform the work to the expected standards.
  • Monitor the performance of employees and initiate disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy as required.
  • Resolve guest complaints in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with established service recovery guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate employee and guest evacuation/notification in the event of an emergency.
  • Ensure procedures are followed for security of monies, credit and financial transactions, and guest security.
  • Maintain a high standard of Occupational Health & Safety within your department.
  • Document and record all incidents involving guests or employees, or other relevant events, on the appropriate reporting systems.

What we need from you:

  • 4+ years' related Hotel/Front Office experience, including management experience.
  • Valid WA Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Approved Manager Certification (WA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must speak the English language.
