Your new role:

Volvo Group Australia HQ, Wacol has a unique opportunity for a

Corporate Communications Manager in the Brand, Marketing and Communications team. The primary purpose of this position is to support the business to effectively execute the organisations' strategies and desired outcomes by delivering high quality and engaging corporate communications and advice to Volvo Group Australia and its business units.

Key duties include:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies and solutions aligned with the business' goals and objectives
  • Strategic internal communications and internal channel management
  • Communication support to Volvo Group Australia's CEO
  • Responsible for creating and reviewing corporate content across digital and print communications channels
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans during times of crisis
  • Measure the effectiveness of implemented communication strategies
  • Develop and maintain a positive public profile by managing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sustainability communications
  • Communications strategy for major exhibitions and events

ABOUT YOU:

Education

  • Completed Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or similar
  • Master's degree would be an advantage
  • Professional Crisis Management training

Your experience and Skills

  • Experience working with corporate communications across different channels
  • Ability to navigate corporate, complex, global matrix environments
  • Strong digital marketing experience
  • Excellent written communications and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead communications strategies in other organisations
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet competing deadlines
  • Strong, clear decisionmaking and creative problemsolving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential, controversial and sensitive nature
  • Budget management experience
  • Knowledge of the Australian truck market (desirable)
  • Team collaboration is measured and necessary
  • Strong commitment and drive to take initiatives, improve and deliver
  • Structured and systematic way of working
  • Open minded and fast learner
  • Team player. Strong people, relationship building and networking skills
  • Positive and service minded attitude
