About the role


Reporting to the Residential Service Manager, the Extra Services Coordinator will be responsible for high quality customer service and person centred lifestyle services within the Residential Aged Care site.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and enabling residents to maximise independence, improve and maintain their health, wellness and quality of life
  • Providing emotional support, goal setting, health literacy and enabling participation in both community and facility activities of relevance to each resident
  • Coordinating appointments, outings transporting and accompanying residents safely in a provided SCC vehicle
  • Working with the Wellness & Lifestyle team to ensure that all residents' physical and emotional needs are met through appropriate opportunities to engage in meaningful activities, tasks or leisure programs
  • Maintaining accurate records documenting the individual needs/goals of each resident
  • Ensuring that programmes and special events are displayed / communicated for the
information of Residents, Staff and Visitors

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service role working with older adults
  • Current and unrestricted driver's licence
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills including the ability to efficiently respond to care recipient needs and manage expectations
  • Effective problem solving, negotiation and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with mínimal supervision, whilst taking ownership of own workload to meet deadlines
  • Sound understanding of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards in relation to lifestyle
  • Proficient computer and keyboard skills and the ability to use Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc.) as well as various inhouse databases
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Ageing and/or Certificate IV in a relevant lifestyle discipline desirable
