Role Overview:

Centacare Community Services is in search of a highly skilled Senior Administration Officer specializing in payroll administration to join the team at our Southport office on a six-month contract. The selected candidate will have a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our dedicated Support Workers. This position involves supervising the approval of daily time and attendance for Support Worker shifts via the TRACCS program and managing the bulk submission of payroll to Head Office for processing on a fortnightly basis.

Please note that while this role is based in our Southport office, the broader administration team extends its coverage across various areas including Hervey Bay, Kingaroy, Brisbane, Darra, Beaudesert, and Gold Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve daily time and attendance for Support Worker shifts using the TRACCS program.
  • Coordinate and manage the bulk submission of payroll to Head Office for processing bi-weekly.
  • Accurately and efficiently process the travel file for mileage claims.
  • Verify the completion of Support Worker shifts and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Offer continuous support and training to staff on payroll-related processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the Alayacare Client Management system for payroll processing.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, preferably in a similar role within the community services sector.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and systems, proficiency in TRACCS and/or Alayacare viewed as advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in managing sensitive information.
