About the role
We have a permanent part time 3 days per week opportunity for a School Education Officer.
As an early childhood educator, you'll be joining our team of primary school, high school and specialist educators to collectively design, develop and deliver the Waterwise Schools Program.
You'll also provide community education incursions and excursions of facilities to school children in the metropolitan area and assist with events, where required.

What the role will involve:
- Delivering a range of incursions and excursions on water education to students from Pre-Primary to Year 12, at schools
- Assisting in designing and delivering high quality, engaging and curriculumaligned water education materials and resources to supplement our Waterwise School Program
- Collaborate with the team to support administration processes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet the needs of the business.
- Support the broader Partnerships and Education team with events and activations, such as Perth Royal Show.
- Occasional early starts and some out of hours and weekend working commitments are part of this role. There is some manual handling and lifting required for this role.
Key skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Education (Primary or Early Childhood Education) and experience in the primary school setting using the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
- Experience preparing education materials for Early Childhood and school age children.
- A dynamic, motivated, and creative educator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills to contribute to a collaborative work culture.
- Current WA Working with Children's Check and Current 'C' class Drivers Licence is essential.
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups.
- Excellent computer technical skills working with software programs and connecting hardware.
