Test Lead

Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia Newy Tech People Full time

What's in it for you?In this 24-month contract role, you will work hybrid based out of Tomago where you will lead the testing of the rollout of a new ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics.

What you'll be doing:
In this hands-on testing role, you will be tasked with driving testing processes for a large ERP implementation.
Your new role will involve test planning and strategy, execution of testing, defect management as well as quality assurance.

You will be responsible for testing throughout the ERP implementation where you will ensure that testing is occurring throughout all project phases, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.

In addition to this, you will monitor and analyse test results, identifying deviations from expected outcomes and documenting defects with clear steps to reproduce.

Your new role will also be heavily involved in championing continuous improvements throughout the business where you will identify the most appropriate resources, tools, and environments required for general testing activities as well as future efficiencies, effectiveness, and automation.

Experience required:

You will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar test lead or senior test analyst role where you have been responsible for writing test plans, strategies, and schedules.

You have experience in system integration, regression, functional testing, and user acceptance testing.

You are a strong communicator and although you will not lead a team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders where you will be tasked with guiding and mentoring others in the testing process.

Your new role will also involve working very autonomously at times, so you will need to be capable of working independently and taking ownership of testing.

This is a hybrid role based out of Tomago, so you will be required to be in the Newcastle, Hunter, Lake Macquarie, or Central Coast region, or willing to relocate for this role.

You will ideally have experience with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM, but if you don't, we would still love to hear from you.
