About the business:
 Our client is a privately owned food manufacturing business in Melbourne's South East. This organisation has a long and storied history in manufacturing and value-added products supplying into retail, foodservice and QSR with a strong market footprint in their chosen categories. The opportunity/role:
 This NPD role exists within well established technical team of circa 4 heads, reporting into the NPD Manager. Core focus areas for this role include:
Traditional NPD activities including factory trials and innovation of new to market product offerings Continuous Improvement activities (CI) focusing on reworks, line extensions and ingredient substitution activities Project management of new product activities, juggling multiple concurrent projects in hand with different priorities and lead times. Cross-functional collaboration within functions such as Production, Quality, Planning and Sales/Marketing What we are looking for:
Demonstrated experience within a food science/NPD function in a food manufacturing setting Tertiary qualifications in food science/technology or similar Strong communication skills, able to communicate technical subject matter content to technical and non-technical audiences Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and GMP requirements Sound understanding of StageGate process
