Junior Broadcast Technologist

We are currently seeking a Junior Broadcast Technologist to join our team in the Melbourne Office This is a fun and exciting role that will be looking after some of Australia's largest radio shows. You will be working with a diverse team to support both local and national shows.

About the role:
Broadcasting and Technical Studio Equipment

  • Ensure the effective functioning of broadcasting and streaming equipment, both within studios as a priority and production environments, by responding to and resolving any technical malfunctions or operator issues
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule for broadcasting and technical equipment is adhered to, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities
  • Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately
  • Provide hardware and software support for all broadcast computer systems


Radio Transmitter Sites

  • Always ensure the effective operation of ARN's radio transmitter sites and transmission signals by monitoring signals and fail-safe systems
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to by inspecting the technical equipment and transmitter building sites, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities


IT Facilities and Office Equipment

  • Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure hardware and software support for computers to resolve user issues

  • Audio and visual knowledge
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Sound organisational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Technical related knowledge and experience in commercial broadcasting
  • Enjoys exploring new and exciting technology
