The Global Financial Control team within FS Chief Controls and Operating Office, comprises of two Centre's of Excellence

  • Staff Expenses & Payroll accounting on behalf of the Group. Focusing on financial control providing Business Unit specific reporting and insights.
  • Accounts Payable and Group Expenses. Responsible for the Groups payments and management of expenses and corporate credit cards.

Do work that matters


The purpose of this role is to perform the BAU activities in the Financial Control - Employee Share Plan (ESP) team to ensure that all ESP accounting, operational and regulatory deliverables are met.


You will also:

  • Lead system automation and process enhancements
  • Support testing and implementation of ESP system processes which impacts finance processes
  • Take responsibility for the Financial Control for ESP including reconciliation and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Drive accountability across different teams, divisions and business units

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support to other Financial Services teams in relation to ESP expenses and budgeting & forecasting matters and financial modelling including Long Service Leave and Annual Leave
  • Financial control of balance sheet/equity accounts i.e. fortnightly/monthly processes such as the preparation of manual journals as well as the preparation and reconciliation of ESP (e.g. ESAP, Restricted Shares, EER, VEP etc.) as well as Perform reconciliations in line with Group Reconciliation Policy including effective liaison with Business Unit/Financial Controllers for clearance of discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Comply with relevant legislation, regulations, Australian Accounting Standards and assist with annual processes such as ESP statutory reporting, internal and external audits
  • Simplify and transform process, systems, capability, controls & governance across the team
  • Identify data/process issues and work with the relevant stakeholders to develop and implement solutions

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related discipline
  • Sound understanding of financial accounting and related legislation
  • Strong financial control including reconciliation, analysis, investigations and reporting
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with proven ability to lead process improvements
  • Strong problem solving skills, continuous improvement mindset and attentional to details
