We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Accountant to join our Financial Services team on an 18-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. You'll be a key member of the Finance team at Coliban Water, playing a vital role in handling daily transactions, maintaining general ledger reconciliations, and offering crucial support for operational and capital financial activities.

What your typical day looks like:
Your responsibilities will include a mix of day-to-day financial tasks and strategic activities such as:

  • Managing financial operations and capital functions
  • Executing month-end processes
  • Monitoring and reporting financial status
  • Creating necessary documentation for compliance
  • Administering finances to ensure system integrity
  • Providing innovative and customer-focused advice to stakeholders
  • Identifying and implementing business enhancements and risk controls
  • Promoting a safe workplace and sustainable practices

To be eligible for this role, you should have a degree in Business or Accounting, exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a solution-oriented mindset. Additionally, possessing excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a collaborative spirit when working with internal teams and stakeholders are crucial.

The salary package for this role will be in accordance with the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021, offering a base salary range of $91,714 to $110,681 for Band 4, depending on your experience and skills.
