The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Support Manager to join our team and lead the operation of the P-8A Product Management System. As Product Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in product lifecycle planning, product fleet planning, improving product supportability, product support system modelling, and monitoring product performance for the P-8A Program (major product elements include aircraft, mission support segment, and aircrew and maintenance training devices). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a cutting-edge Defence capability and make a significant impact on the future of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead the operation of the P-8A Product Management System, ensuring effective management and utilization of P-8A Products throughout their lifecycle.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supportability challenges, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.

Monitor and analyze product performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement to enhance overall system availability and capability.

Lead support system modeling activities, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to simulate and optimize product performance and maintenance/logistics support strategies.

Develop fleet planning strategies to optimize product availability, maintenance schedules, and operational readiness.

Develop and implement product management plans and best practices to ensure compliance with Defence Product Management policy (aligned with ISO 55000 Asset Management principles).

Lead deployment of BDA Digital Sustainment capabilities within the P-8A Program

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Criteria

Proven experience in product/asset management, preferably in the aerospace or Defence industry. Formal qualification in Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support, or an aviation related field will be highly regarded.

Familiarity with Defence Product Management and/or ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capability to drive change and influence others.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
