About the Position
ABC News is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to create top-notch graphics for broadcast and digital platforms.
Reporting to the NSW Metro Editor, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, researching, and producing high-quality graphics and animations under tight deadlines
- Developing technical and creative skills within a collaborative team
- Staying updated on graphic design trends and technology
- Monitoring graphics equipment to ensure operational standards are met
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have extensive graphic design experience, particularly in media, advanced graphic production knowledge, and software proficiency. Additional requirements include:
- Strong graphic production skills and software knowledge
- Ability to creatively communicate complex ideas visually
- Effectiveness in meeting tight deadlines both independently and in a team setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Sydney and New South Wales news and the ability to engage diverse audiences
